What to Bring to Your Gun Class in Miami

Bring your ID, closed-toe shoes, and a willingness to learn. For our combined beginner class, we provide the rest.

Bring

• Government-issued photo ID

• Closed-toe shoes (no sandals, since hot brass can land on your feet)

• A fitted shirt with a crew neck or collar

• A water bottle and a snack

• A pen (and your documents if you're applying for a license)

• Your questions

We provide (in the combined beginner class)

• Shooting glasses

• Firearm rental

• Ammunition

• Range fees

• Targets

• Unlimited refresher courses for life

Leave at home

• Your own firearm and ammunition, unless the class asks you to bring them

• Alcohol or anything that dulls your judgment. Do not drink before or during a class.

• Loose or low-cut tops, dangling jewelry, open-toe shoes

• Perfume (you'll be close to others)

For a concealed weapons license class

Ask whether you need extra documents or photos on class day for your application.

Arrive early

Plan to arrive about 15 minutes before class so check-in doesn't rush you.
